[IPA Houses] - New web site available

Latest IPA House news and information (3-Jan-08)

The IPA Houses web site was reintroduced at 0100 GMT on 1 Jan 08, following an extended period of downtime for essential maintenance.

Pages are now available to view in a new format. All individual house properties can now be viewed but additional pages such as local maps, links, online reservation capabilities, etc, will slowly be introduced over the forthcoming days and weeks. The immediate goal was to get the site working again with information about Houses for our visitors.

Welcome to the IPA RSS feed update

This news service is provided by IPA International Administration Centre and is administered by the IAC Webmaster.

The IPA is currently testing RSS feed messages to provide an alternative method of communication to members. It is planned to introduce a number of new feeds in the forthcoming months.

A new feed entitled IPA Houses is now available. For more information visit http://en.ipa-iac.org/en_rss-feeds.htm

Our new site will have increased functionality for visitors.

[IPA Houses] New IPA House in Germany

A new IPA House has been opened by Section Germany.

Situated close to the French border, about 30 minutes to the Saarbrücken-Ensheim airport, this new addition to the IPA House family can sleep 8 people.

"IPA House - Saarland" has been allocated House Code DESA

The property is also the first of the IPA Houses to have its page published in the new format on the IPA Houses web site. Over the next few weeks and months all IPA House pages will be changed to this new look format with additional features being added - maps, possibility of online reservation, links to other sites, etc.

[IPA news] IYG 2008

Details of the 2008 IPA International Youth Gathering have been circulated to all National Sections.

Hosted by Section Australia, the 2008 event will take place from 29th July - 4th August. The theme will be 'Discover Down Under'

The participation fee is A$1100.00 per person, which includes all meals, accommodation, transport (including a flight from Sydney to the Gold Coast) and all activities except the optional Sydney Harbour Bridge climb. Return travel to/from Australia is NOT included and is at the expense of the individual participant/National Section.

Applications must be received from National Sections NOT LATER THAN 20 March 2008 2007, with a booking fee of A$100 - non refundable. Interested members must contact their own National Section for local deadline dates and selection procedures.
