As President of the Russian Section I feel much honoured to invite you to the 35th International Executive Council to Russia, which will be held between 16 and 21 September 2008.

We are looking forward to seeing the Permanent Executive Bureau, Delegates and Visitors at the IEC 2008 in Moscow. Our Section is rather young. We are represented now in more than 50 regions of Russia and we are very proud to host the IPA Conference in 2008. Whether you are a Delegate or other participant of the Conference we will offer you an exciting program of your visit. I belive my invitation will reach all our IPA friends worldwide and welcome you to come to the 35th IEC.

It will be followed by the Friendship Week where we are expecting your participation as it will take place in two of the most beautiful cities of Russia - Moscow and St Petersburg. Section Russia are hosting the 2008 IEC Conference at Izmaylovo Hotel-Alfa, Moscow. The hotel was built in 1980 to accommodate coming to the Olympics.

The hotel is conveniently located in the green zone of Izmaylovo park, close to the Silver and Grape ponds, Pokrovskiy cathedral and the Vernisazh fair.

Situated in a quiet and picturesque area, the hotel is only 15 minutes from the city centre and 50 metres from the nearest Metro station.

Historically, it was the capital of the former Soviet Union and the Grand Duchy of Moscow, the pre-Imperial Russian state. It is the site of the Kremlin, which now serves as the ceremonial residence of the President of Russia.
